A room 30' x 60' is bisected by a cardboard barrier that encloses a rear projection screen. One side is lit by a xenon film projector that is adjusted to fit the screen dimensions and projects light, but no image other than the shadows of anyone passing through the projection. For observers in the room with the projector, the screen has the color of yellow light from the other side, which appears soft and homogenous. The cast shadows are not visible on this side. Peoples' actions on this side are only apparent as shadows on the other side. |
